"My husband & I would highly recommend Ben to anyone in need of a dog trainer. This past spring, we adopted a 1 year old rescue puppy, and quickly became overwhelmed by his destructive behaviors. We were coming to the end of our ropes when we were fortunate enough to meet Ben. After just one training session, we saw a remarkable improvement in the behavior of our puppy. Ben showed us how to take control while still treating Leo in a nurturing, supportive and respectful manner. We are so thankful that Ben has come into our lives. Our little puppy has become everything we ever hoped he would be."
"I have been involved in training our two Labradoodles for the past couple of years. I did the traditional “Puppy Manners Classes” which were mostly about socialization and some basic commands. That was fine for the first six months, but then my big, strong-minded guy went through “puberty” and thought it was way more fun to “do his own thing” than obey any of our commands. At that point, we met Ben. I really think without his guidance, we would have ended up with an out-of-control reactive dog. Ben’s approach is “hands on” and balanced. I knew that a positive only, treat based program would not be right for my dog…he’s way to self willed for that. I also didn’t want to use one of the “force” training methods. I knew that I could not administer that type of training effectively, and I was very concerned about what that method might do to my relationship with the dog. Ben’s approach is direct and fair. We have made huge progress with both of our dogs. We can now walk them off leash and they are right by our side. They are well behaved and respectful in our home. What I like best is that Ben works with is in our “real life” situations with problem distractions. He goes right with us as we train our dogs how to behave in the Park or in the Pet Store. I feel this “point in time” training is so much more effective than a classroom environment. Having Ben come to our home and observe us with our little “pack” has also shown us how to set clear expectations and how we need to respond when our guys make a “bad choice”. I feel that we are very fortunate to have found Ben, and I am so grateful for his calm, patient, and knowledgeable training."

"We are so grateful to Ben for his help training our dog (well, us really!). Ben’s advice has been invaluable to us- he helped us get ready for the arrival of our puppy and he has helped us every step of the way since then. Ben has a real understanding of canine behavior and shares that knowledge with his clients to help them get the best out of their dogs. He is incredibly knowledgeable and so easy to work with-our training sessions are a true pleasure and our puppy is so well behaved. We couldn’t ask for a better person to train our dog-he’s really the best!"
"Just wanted to say thank you to Ben for all his help with Pepper! At about 8 months old Pepper was running the house. We weren't sure we would even be able to keep him if things didn't change. Ben came out for a couple of sessions and the results were amazing. It's almost a year later and not only do we still have Pepper but he is a wonderful family dog. Ben was patient and understanding, teaching the children and adults the tools we needed. We still use what we learned everyday. The entire family is very glad we found Ben. We can't imagine life without our furry family member."
