Big news for the Dogology family!

You’ve probably wondered… what’s happening at Dogology Canton? After months of volunteer effort and renovations, it’s official: Dogology Canton is now the new home of New England Puppy Rescue!

This space is a safe haven for puppies in need, featuring:
✨ An in-house veterinary clinic
✨ Orphan Puppy Program with socialization and enrichment
✨ Play areas, bathing & laundry stations, and even a puppy photo studio
✨ Space for Puppy Fix events—happy hour, coffee, yoga, paint nights, and more!

Now, the next phase of renovations is underway and we need YOUR help!

Frances and Marissa have spent years helping pets and families—and now you can give back in their honor. Your support helps create adoption rooms, secure fencing, a dedicated veterinary treatment room and community spaces, so more puppies get the care, love, and second chances they deserve.

Dogology offers Pet Food Pantry for families in need- CURRENTLY ON HOLD AFTER THE PANDEMIC

Dogology is pleased to offer a no-cost Pet Food Pantry for people from the community that need nutritious food for their dogs or cats.

“If – for whatever reason – you cannot afford food for your pets, the team at Dogology does not want your companion animal to go hungry,” said Frances Schroeder, one of the owners of Dogology. “We have been fortunate to acquire a large supply of both canned foods and bags of dry food so that we can start this Pet Food Pantry with fully stocked shelves.”

The team at Dogology is working with local area Food Banks/Pantries throughout the Farmington Valley community to get the word out about the availability of this unique Pet Food Pantry, and asking coordinators at those food banks to provide referrals to Dogology whenever there is a need.

At the same time, Dogology will accept cash donations from customers at the store to ensure that there is a steady supply of pet food that will keep the shelves of the Pet Food Pantry stocked. All of the money raised will be used to keep the Pet Food Pantry operational – support from the local community is vital to keeping this program going.

How to get food from Dogology’s Pet Food Pantry:

Our food bank is based on refferals. Anyone that needs to make use of the Pet Food Pantry can pick up food from Dogology’s store on Mondays and Tuesdays during regular business hours. The store is located at 166 Albany Turnpike in Canton, CT (at the back of the Canton Green plaza – behind the “Pink House”). Individuals must be referred to Dogology by food bank administrators in the Farmington Valley, such as the Canton or Simsbury Food Bank, or Gifts of Love.
