Daycare
At Dogology we put a tremendous amount of emphasis on appropriate social interactions from the time your dog is young in order to have a lifetime of positive social associations. We offer puppy daycare from the ages of 9 weeks to 20 weeks and then adult daycare from 20 weeks and up. Just like our behavior and nutrition departments our daycare is built around the same principles of bringing the best in canine services. It is our knowledge and understanding of behavior that help us to shape a smaller more socially appropriate daycare setting. Please read below for more information and contact us with any further questions or to sign up.
Adult Daycare- 20 weeks of age & upAcceptance Evaluations
All dogs who would like to join our daycare are required to go through an evaluation process. This process is designed to gauge the suitability of your dog in a daycare setting. Sadly, not all dogs are comfortable in a daycare setting but we do our best to introduce them in a slow, methodical manner as to set them up best for success. If your dog is not a good fit, it is not necessarily a reflection on your dogs overall behavior. Genetics and previous associations play a large role in the sociability of your dog and we are happy to discuss other options with you for fulfilling your dog should they not pass our evaluation. Temperament tests are by appointment only and are typically scheduled between the hours of 9am and 10am Monday through Friday. Please contact our facility in order to schedule. Spay and Neuter Policy All female dogs must be spayed by 7 months of age. All male dogs must be neutered by 1 year of age.* *un-neutered dogs may be allowed to attend even after one year of age and determinations will be at the discretion of our staff. Vaccine Requirements We only require our daycare attendees to have their core vaccines (Rabies & Distemper/Parvo)* and a negative yearly fecal exam. In addition your dog must present as healthy. Any dog who arrives at daycare presenting signs of an upper respiratory infection, diarrhea, or lethargy will be asked to go home. Please use good judgment and remember that bringing a dog with any sign of illness not only effects your dogs experience but puts all the daycare dogs at risk. *blood titers can be used in lieu of vaccination. Hours and Pricing Our adult daycare is open Monday thru Friday 8am to 6pm. Drop-off is anytime between 8am and 10am and pickup is anytime before 6pm. Cost of daycare is $30/day. |

Puppy Daycare- up to 20 weeks of ageAcceptance Evaluations
There is no evaluation process in order to join our puppy daycare. The premise of this group is to shape appropriate social behavior therefore even inappropriate social behavior will be worked with and communicated to you, the owner. Spay and Neuter Policy Given the age of the puppies in puppy daycare spay and neuter policies do not apply. Vaccine Requirements We only require our daycare attendees to have their age appropriate core vaccines (Rabies & Distemper/Parvo)* and a negative fecal exam. Given our belief in spacing out the vaccine administration schedule we do not require that they have fully completed their core puppy vaccines in order to start. Please see the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior position statement on the importance of starting socialization before being fully vaccinated. In addition, your dog must present as healthy. Any dog who arrives at daycare presenting signs of an upper respiratory infection, diarrhea, or lethargy will be asked to go home. Please use good judgment and remember that bringing a dog with any sign of illness not only effects your dogs experience but puts all the daycare dogs at risk. Hours and Pricing Our puppy daycare is open Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 5pm. Drop-off is anytime between 9am and 10am and pickup is anytime between 2pm and 5pm. Cost of daycare is $30/day. |
